What is 462 Work and Holiday Visa?

The Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) allows eligible young adults to holiday in Australia and work to help fund their stay. It differs from the subclass 417 Working Holiday visa in eligible passport countries and other eligibility rules.

Who can apply?

For the first subclass 462 visa, applicants generally must be aged 18 to 30 inclusive, hold an eligible passport, apply from outside Australia and meet other criteria. Certain passport holders must be selected through a pre-application ballot. Always check current Home Affairs rules.
